Early 1800's Bronze Safe / Coin Bank, Threaded Bottom, Acorn Finial, HEAVY

This is an early 19th century bronze container, which has a removable threaded base, while the top part that resembles a lid with the finial acorn is not removable. There is a slot on the top for coins to be deposited. There is provenance regarding this piece, written on a piece of paper inside. The note says:
" 'This bank' belonged to William Heacox, Jay's great great grandfather. He sold his farm in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania in 1850 + migrated to Indiana. All the money he got for his farm in PA was $200.00 + he carried it in this safe to Indiana. Came down through his son John Heacox, to his son Harry WIlliam Heacox, Jay's dad.
