These unique salad servers are a rare design by Sabattini that are seldom seen. They are silver-plate and are marked "Sabattini". This set was manufactured around 1965 in Milan, Italy Lino Sabattini is an Italian designer, who worked for Christofle. Sabattini left Christofle to start his own business in Milan. He is best known for his innovative design of silver-plated household wares. Sabattini was interested in fusing Neo-
Classicism with Modernist and Minimalist aesthetics. Today, his works are 
held in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Dallas 
Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, among others.
