Possible made in Guatemala
and probably made for a Sea Captain
either American or British?
This is a Rare & Unique gift
from a Father to his Daughter.
This beautifully carved coconut has silver mounts
with engraved initials C.M. & date1790
on the base and "C. Moore to his daughter Fanny"
engraved on the silver rim.
Very good original condition,
Very minor surface crack on shell
opposite handle below name "Fanny".
Hard to see.
Silver in very good condition
Oxidation due to non handling.
