Both Bilston and Battersea England
began making these small Porcelain
or Enamel over Copper Boxes in the mid 18th c.
Used mostly for Snuff or Beauty Patches.
This box was used for Beauty Patches
complete with original Mirror inside top lid.
The scene on the box shows a couple
in a landscape holding hands.
