A wonderful antique George H Flavelle Landscape Watercolor & Gouache scene of the edge of a woodland stream at sunset. The painting was created sometime between 1880 to 1910. The artwork is signed in the bottom left corner "GH Flavelle". The watercolor is in its original frame with updated acid-free backing. George H. Flavelle (NY & PA, 1868-1945) is primarily known for his watercolor paintings depicting landscapes, woodland interiors, seascapes, cottage scenes and Dutch scenes with windmills. Flavelle was a member of the Art Students League, NYC. Approx.
