A unique 1st edition book of 300 Culinary Recipes: One Hundred Ways of Cooking Eggs; One
Hundred Ways of Cooking Fish; One Hundred Desserts by Filippini Alessandro. The book was
published by H.M. Caldwell in 1892. The culinary book has thick oblong baby blue hardcover.
The book has 121 pages filled with 300 egg fish and dessert recipes. Alessandro was a Swiss
born chef at Delmonico's restaurant in New York in the second half of the 1800's, as well as a
cookbook author. After 25 years at Delmonico's, Fillipini retired and dedicated himself
to writing cookbooks. In his recipes he gives precise measurements while most cookbooks
of the time using imprecise, general measurements. The book was published by H.M. Caldwell
company in 1892. Electrotyped and printed by C.H. Simonds & Co. Boston U.S.A.
