2 Antique Renaissance 17th-18thc Painted Panels Christian Catholic W/ Original Paint
The first panel depicts Saint Gerome in prayer on his knees below an angel. The
second panel depicts Jobe on his knees with hands out of prayer, almost
pleading to god above. The signatures for these works are unavailable.
The figures suggest that these (were) placed as a pair. Beautifully executed, with original paint and gilt borders, show restoration measures taken over the centuries. The later protective oak frame was added.

Condition:
These 17th-18th century religious paintings are in decent age-related
condition, although does show wear. The paintings show original
gilding on borders and have retained their original paint. A later protective
oak frame was added as a modification.
