temporary work permit issued to Senior Illustrator Guy Wiser at R.K.O. Pictures.
The back side features a charming handwritten ink inscription from the period reading:
"To remember me by!" in cursive script.
PROVENANCE & HISTORICAL CONTEXT
This card was issued directly to Guy Brown Wiser (1895–1983), a fascinating
multi-faceted historical figure who served as a WWI bomber pilot (shot down
and held as a POW) before studying art under Jean Despujols in Paris and
becoming a celebrated mid-century book illustrator and painter.
