Jacob Conrad Bodemer (1777 - 1824)
Bodemer studied in Pforzheim and Geneva before moving to Vienna in 1799,
where he was a pupil at the Akademie under Maurer, Fuger, and Lampi, and where he exhibited in 1813.
He specialized in enamel miniatures, sometimes on gold. Numerous important sitters included members of the imperial family. Bodemer also made enamel copies of old master paintings, such as Leonardo's La Belle Ferronniere.
