an ancient bronze Zodiac beaker possibly of the Majapahit empire in Southeast Asia. This bowl displays shallow relief of a row of zodiac symbols and another row of figures above it. The identity of the top row of figures still remains uncertain. This beaker/bowl functioned in ritual worship as a vessel for holy water for Hindu-Buddhist practice.
"Majapahit was one of the last major Hindu empires of the region and is considered to be one of the greatest and most powerful empires in the history of Indonesia and Southeast Asia, one that is sometimes seen as the precedent for Indonesia's modern boundaries."
