We are offering 
a very old, 18th / 19th c., Ceremonial Statue
of the Hindu God Ganesh (Ganesha), with his
mouse at his feet (representing ego).
The depictions of Ganesh are found throughout Asia.
Devotion to Ganesh is widely diffused and extends
to Hindu's, Jains and Buddhists.

Ganesh is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies,
and thought to be the remover of obstacles and to
bring good luck.

This large heavy statue is brass and copper 
with a green & gold patina.
