she faces 5 pigs ranging in size and age, and above them is
the Virgen de San Juan. The text underneath describes that the woman
Leocadia Mosqueda de Claudillo saw her breastfeeding pigs get sick,
and entrusted the Virgen to give her a miracle, and that this retablo is to give
thanks for the miracle.
This scene is noteworthy for its farm or rancho subject matter,
depicting the livestock of a Mexican woman.
The Hecho En Mexico Sticker was applied by the previous owner to export them.
