This 19th century Watercolor & Gouache Miniature Painting of Cimabue is in an elaborate Brass 19thc Miniature Frame. The dramatic and beautiful hooded cape is the typical dress for Cimabue. Likely purchased during the Grand Tour era in Europe, the miniature painting would have been easy to carry; this was a fine keepsake or a gift once back home.
