19thc German Hanau Silver Snuff Box, by Neresheimer & Sohne / Gerbruder Glaser
We are offering...
A darling snuff box in an oblong 6-sided hexagonal shape adorned with floral & swirling patterns. The front & back facing sides are decorated with draped garlands and wreaths. Hinge based opening. Based on its two identifying marks, its markers are Neresheimer & Sohne as well as Gerbruder Glaser. It is our educated estimation that this snuff box was made somewhere between 1883-1903 & possibly exhibited in the 1893 Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition.
