c. 1830's American Maple Candle Stand Table

We are offering...
An American Maple Candle Stand Table, with a strong turned center column. The table top is 
square shaped with notched edges. The underside has indents from the use of a sewing bird. 
It is mounted to the center column with 6 screws on a board spanning across the grain. 
The pedestal is a very interesting, and powerful turned column, with various shapes. 
The legs are square cabriole legs, ending in square cut feet. These legs are dovetailed into
the center column. 
This table is from the early 19th century and is likely Pennsylvania or Ohio Valley. 
This table is a great addition to any collection of exemplary american furniture, as the notched 
edges and the heavy turned center column give this piece tons of character.

Condition:
Has nicks and scuffs throughout, the underside of the table has indents from use of sewing bird, 
the top board has age shrinkage, one leg has shrinkage and is slightly loose in the dovetail joint, 
small loss to the edge of table top.
