19th C 1847 Fraktur Fracture Art, Birth and Baptismal Certificate Harrisburg, PA

A beautiful 1847 Pennsylvania German document "Fraktur" otherwise known as a
fracture. The document was printed then engraved & hand-colored with reds &
yellows. The fracture is decorated with an eagle, angels, birds, baskets of flowers,
with verses all surrounded by an ornamental border.
This folk art document was printed by G.S. Peters aka Gustav Sigismund Peters
(1793-1847) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This lovely Birth & Baptismal Certificate
is protected by glass in an ornate wood frame.

This 19th C fracture is in good age-related condition. The Fraktur has some tearing and creasing and a slight fading of ink in the lower right corner. The paper document is protected by glass with some spotting and yellowing due to age. The frame is a later 1900s addition and is in good condition, with minor scratching to the top right corner.
