Chinese Ming Dynasty Figures (1368-1644) Original Polychrome Paint, Provenance

We are offering...
two highly detailed Ming Dynasty period figures elegantly carved wood in multi colored original polychrome finish. This pair is in well preserved condition considering their age, (1368-1644). Carved and painted over four centuries ago, the figures are well robed and jewelry adorned. They stand on rock bases mounted on modern mahogany plinths.

Note the paper label on the reverse of the green shawl. Possibly an early 20th inventory collection identifier. These pieces are from the Robert&Helen Kuhn collection.

This pair of figures are in remarkable condition considering their age. 

Both figures show significant weathering and some loss to all sides.
