Also, see the provenance at the bottome of the listing.
Jacob Conrad Bodemer (1777 - 1824)
Bodemer studied in Pforzheim and Geneva before moving to Vienna in 1799, where he was a pupil at the Akademie under Maurer, Fuger, and Lampi, and where he exhibited in 1813. He specialized in enamel miniatures, sometimes on gold. Numerous important sitters included members of the imperial family. Bodemer also made enamel copies of old master paintings, such as Leonardo's La Belle Ferronniere.
The only pastel associated with him is apparently unsigned, and the attribution is based on a label from an old exhibition. It is plausible that Bodemer should have executed pastels at the start of his career under the guidance of his Fuger or Lampi; these are unlikely to be before 1800.

daughter Lori' Blumka (Glen's mother). Lori Blumka married William Revere of
Cleveland; they had a son, Glen. The enamel came to Glen from his parents Mr.
and Mrs. Lori Blumka Revere. Glen's
maternal grandfather was Hugo Blumka (d.1943). Hugo and his brother Leopold
owned and operated an antique shop in Vienna during the 1920s and 1930s: Blumka Gallery: #20 Himmelfortgasse, Vienna
(District 1). In 1939 Hugo Blumka and
his wife Minnie, their daughter, Lore' and brother Leopold escaped Hitler's
