Designed by Antone Heller, multi-motif, named for the palace of Versailles, residence of King Louis XIV of France. Described as: “Scenes from the daily life at Versailles, which formed the most brilliant period of French social life.”
The inside bowl is gold washed with a matte finish. Back of bowl is polished, and has the late 19th. century hallmarks (a lion, an anchor, and the letter G), the word "sterling", the word "copyrighted", and the number "2". Handle has monogrammed "PS"
